With no question “The Real” King David's music captures many of the feelings we harbor today. From belting out on that infamous daytime job, or bursting into song about the excitement of juggling success and family to the highs and lows of relationships, he sings an intriguing story of life – the major and minor changes. So when you look in the mirror, how positive are you during growth and change?

In The Real King David's debut CD entitled, Dream, he asks you to look again at the person staring back at you. He believes that creating positive growth is a matter of good attitude exercising your given talents and taking that risk to build your world for the better. In the featured song, Emotions, King David reminds us that we need to cherish life, and use the power of words carefully to encourage others and ourself.

Even if you feel stuck in life because of your past, or maybe you feel like you have no time to focus on the calling in your life, don't be afraid to imagine, set a goal, explore new horizons, or perhaps even take a risk to ask someone for help.

Regardless of the changes you face, be optimistic, encourage others and allow them to help you as well. Sometimes it takes another helping hand to show you the way, as he talks about in the song, Dance With Me. When we do this, we take action toward building our city from the inside out and realize our purpose as he talks about in the title track, Keep Your Head Up.

So, the next time you look in the mirror don't be discouraged about what you haven't accomplished. Understand that the person looking back at you is just now starting their journey to becoming a more positive person filled with hope that will uplift their community, and be a support system for others.
